Letters for Inca
Eleven genre-fluid letters — a sonic archive for my newborn son, Inca. Ambient soundscapes, piano and acoustic arrangements moving into progressive metal, rock and hip-hop. Composition over virtuosity; emotion over technique.

Tabla in the blood,
drums in the hands.
“A genre and path-breaking drummer / percussionist.”The Telegraph
I'm SambitC — Sambit Chatterjee — a drummer, composer and producer with two decades behind the kit for artists across India and beyond. Trained on tabla by my father, Pandit Subhen Chatterjee, the Grammy-nominated tabla maestro, before finding my own voice on the drums.
I move between worlds — progressive rock to Indian classical fusion. With Letters for Inca I've stepped out from behind the kit into composing and storytelling. I also produce, mix and record much of my own work.
